Jake Ivory's is a boisterous bar featuring a two man on stage dueling piano show every Friday and Saturday that attracts a mish mosh of Landsdowne St reveler, Sox game traffic, and the rare and elusive fan of a dueling piano show. WEEI is the radio voice of the Boston Red Sox. Their studio fronts onto Lansdowne Street. So if you can't get tickets, you can stand on the street listening to your radio and watching the guys call the game through the big windows.

Tequila Rain is the lone dance club still open on Lansdowne in late 2007. Featuring Buff Fridays and the Taboo Lounge. Tequila Rain specializes in Girls Nights Out, including Bachelorette Parties on Friday and Saturday nights. Reservations for these are required.

At the end of Lansdowne Street, Boston's club strip, stands Jillian's which has the amazing eating/drinking/gaming combo of a bowling alley along with 3 full levels of gaming. It's an indoor amusement park for adults with 16 lanes, over 30 pool tables, wall-sized TVs blaring sports, fundless blackjack, ping-pong, a large restaurant, 6 full bars, and a lounge restaurant, Tequila Rain, for refueling from the dancing next door. Pool tables $8/hr for 1 person, $2 for each additional person; after 6pm Friday and Saturday prices change to $10/hr for 1-2 people, $14 for 3+. Bowling $4.50 per person per game 11am-5pm, $6 after 5pm. No hats, cigars, pipes, or sweats. Under-21s, be warned: Jillian's boasts perhaps the most sophisticated ID scanner in the Western world. Not for the faint of heart, Ramrod with its intense scene and its more traditional brother bar Machine serve as the venues for gay boys who yearn for either a taste of daddy's denim or an innocuous night of carousing among men. Both bars feature something exciting every night, but the offerings vary monthly. The Rod's MANDANCE (Su 9pm) is an extreme, crowded, scantily dressed mass of male flesh swaying to pumping house. For those looking for a quality mix of clean yet dirty fun, Machine hosts good ol' fashioned foam parties Saturday nights during the summer, and karaoke Thursdays year-round. Other events include pool tournaments and leather and bondage nights. The infamous Back Room promises even more uninhibited fun, but you can only get in if you're shirtless or wearing black leather or rubber. Beer $3.75-5, mixed drinks $3-4.
